Discover an amazing journey north of Toronto—where history blends with breathtaking nature, and every turn of the road brings new impressions.

Early in the morning, you will depart from the bustling city and head toward the peaceful beauty of the Georgian Bay region. The first stop will be the Midland Pow Wow Festival—an annual cultural event of Indigenous peoples in Canada, known as the Georgian Bay Traditional Pow Wow.

You will witness the ceremonial Grand Entry—a parade of dancers in traditional regalia—along with live music and drumming performances. There will also be artisan and trading booths featuring handmade jewelry and crafts, traditional Indigenous foods (such as bannock), and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere open to all visitors.

Next, we will travel to Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, the first permanent European settlement in what is now Ontario. During the guided tour, experienced Russian-speaking guides will share and demonstrate how the early settlers of Huronia lived, as well as the Indigenous peoples—both those who adopted Christianity and those who continued to maintain their traditional beliefs.

Just as it was nearly 400 years ago, the mission is surrounded by a wooden palisade enclosing workshops, living quarters, and storage buildings. During the peak tourist season, the open-air museum comes alive: interpreters in 17th-century costumes reenact scenes from daily life in the Jesuit mission, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the era. The tour also includes a visit to the historical museum located on the site.

You will also visit the Martyrs’ Shrine, one of Canada’s major Catholic shrines. It is a place of silence and spiritual reflection, surrounded by majestic pine trees, where time seems to slow down.

In the evening, you will return to Toronto, taking with you memories of a day where history, nature, and relaxation are beautifully intertwined.
