Dubrovnik (arrival, 3 nights) - Kotor - Budva - Split (3 nights) - Neum - Šibenik - Trogir - Zadar - Mostar - Dubrovnik (1 night, departure)
If you want to see paradise on Earth, come to Dubrovnik.
— George Bernard Shaw
Day 1: Arrival at Dubrovnik airport (Croatia) at any time, transfer to a hotel located on the Adriatic Sea, close to the historic center of Dubrovnik. Check-in at the hotel. Evening - free time. Dinner at the hotel (buffet). Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of the Old Town of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where many films, including "Game of Thrones," were filmed. Dubrovnik, founded in the 6th century as a port fort city, features massive fortress walls that are remarkably well-preserved (after the 17th-century earthquake), stretching for about 2 km. Inside the city walls, narrow, incredibly beautiful streets and squares surround the 15th-century City Bell Tower, the 16th-century Sponza Palace, the 14th-century Dominican Monastery (which we will visit; entry ticket included), and many romantic courtyards and cafes. Here, in one of the narrow streets of Old Dubrovnik, you can buy the best souvenirs and gifts. A boat trip around the fortress walls will offer a view of the city from the sea (entry ticket included). Free time in the city. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
"At the birth of our planet, the most beautiful meeting of land and sea occurred in Montenegro. When pearls of nature were scattered, this land received a whole handful."
— Lord George Byron
Day 3: Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, transfer to the Montenegro border (don’t forget to take your passport). Arrival in Budva (93 km), a city in Montenegro located on the Adriatic Sea, founded over 2500 years ago. Guided tour of the Old Town, situated on a distinctly protruding peninsula in the sea, representing a corner of typically Venetian and Mediterranean architecture. The Old Town is surrounded by a massive fortress wall, and narrow winding streets lead to the city citadel, now home to a museum. Near the citadel are three ancient churches. Transfer to Kotor (22 km), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kotor Bay, or Boka Kotorska, is the largest fjord in the Mediterranean, stretching 28 km into the continent! For centuries, Kotor Bay was a refuge for fishermen and sailors during storms, wars, and pirate invasions, with each settlement along the fjord’s mountainous shores holding unique histories. Visit the Cathedral of St. Tryphon (entry ticket included), a prime example of Romanesque architecture, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site. You will have the chance to admire the local beauty as much as passionate admirers like Lord Byron and Bernard Shaw. Return to Dubrovnik. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, check out and drive to Split (Croatia), 230 km, with a stop in Neum, a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the only Bosnian city with access to the Adriatic Sea. Arrival in Split, whose city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Meet the local guide for a tour of the city, including a visit to Diocletian’s Palace (entry ticket included). In the 3rd century, future Roman emperor Diocletian was born here, and you will visit his palace, seeing St. Domnius Cathedral, the 16th-century Benedictine Monastery, Gothic arches of the Old Town, and its Golden and Iron Gates. Optionally, you can visit St. Dujama Church (entry ticket 5.5 euros), where you can climb the bell tower for a bird’s-eye view of the city and its islands. Free time for lunch. Transfer to a hotel located just 10 minutes from Diocletian’s Palace. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Split.
"The sunset in Zadar is the most beautiful in the world..."
— Alfred Hitchcock
Day 5: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a tour of Zadar (Croatia). Meet the local guide for a walking tour of the ancient, medieval, Gothic, and Baroque city of Zadar. This unique city still preserves the ruins of the Roman Forum, the Triumphal Arch of Trajan, the 9th-century Church of St. Donatus, the 11th-century bell tower of St. Mary’s, and the City Guard building with its covered gallery. Free time for lunch, then return to Split. Free time. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Split.
Day 6: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a tour of Šibenik (Croatia). Meet the local guide for a tour of the Old Town, including visits to the Cathedral of St. James (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), St. Michael’s Fortress, the Town Hall, and the Church of St. Chrysogonus. Then, transfer to Trogir, the "pearl of Croatia," a UNESCO-protected city that looks like a sailing ship ready for a journey, founded by Greek Dorians in the 3rd century BC. The city is cut by canals, adorned with white bell towers, towers, and bridges connecting the districts of the historical center, partially located on the island of Čiovo. Visit the Cathedral of St. Lawrence (entry ticket included) and see the 15th-century Renaissance Town Loggia and City Hall, built from the 14th to 16th centuries. Return to Split. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Split.
Day 7: Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and drive to the Bosnian border (don’t forget your passport). Arrival in Mostar (168 km), a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Meet the local guide for a walking tour of the Old Town, including the famous Old Bridge (the bridge and surrounding area are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Visit the Mostar Turkish House (entry ticket included) and the Dervish Tekke Blagaj (entry ticket included). Time for lunch at a fish restaurant. Transfer to Dubrovnik (138 km). Check-in at the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 8: Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Dubrovnik airport according to your flight schedule.
