Arrival in Ottawa. Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is located in the eastern part of Ontario on the banks of the Ottawa River, which forms the border between the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

Ottawa is the fourth largest city in the country and the second largest city in Ontario after Toronto. Together with Gatineau, located on the Quebec side of the river, and nearby municipalities, Ottawa is part of the National Capital Region.

The city was founded in the early 19th century. Since 1867, Ottawa has been the capital of Canada. In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Ottawa, becoming a center of high-tech development, has sometimes been referred to as the "Northern Silicon Valley". As Canada's capital, Ottawa is home to federal government structures and major cultural centers, including leading Canadian museums and the National Gallery of Canada.

During our guided tour of Ottawa in Russian, we will explore both the Ontario (Ottawa) and Quebec (Gatineau) parts of the capital. You will see the architecture of the Parliament Hill, as well as monuments located on Parliament Hill.

Our Russian-speaking tour also includes a route covering Ottawa's major attractions, such as the residences of the Governor General and the Prime Minister of Canada, monuments, and museums along this route. We will also stop at a lookout point, the most popular spot for photographs in Ottawa.
