Here is the full English translation of your text:
The Nice Carnival has been celebrated since 1294, when a festivity was first documented, organized to entertain the nobility before Lent.
The modern version of the carnival began to take shape in the 19th century: in 1873, a Carnival Organizing Committee was established, and the tradition of parades with flower-decorated floats and paper figures became an annual event.
Over time, the Nice Carnival grew in scale and became one of the world's most important carnival events, alongside those in Venice, Rio de Janeiro, and Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
The carnival draws over 200,000 visitors and turns the entire city into a vast open-air stage. Every year, a new theme is chosen to inspire artists and designers to create fantastic floats, costumes, and sculptures.
One of the most popular events is the "Battle of Flowers" on the Promenade des Anglais, where parade participants throw hundreds of thousands of fresh flowers into the crowd.
